Mijn TBR-boeken die ik nog voor het einde van 2015 wil lezen
Iedereen heeft dat wel, boeken die hij of zij móet lezen voor het einde van het jaar. Zo heb ik ook een aantal boeken die ik toch wil lezen voor het einde van het jaar. Dat zijn namelijk de volgende boeken:
Er zullen geen helden zijn – Anna Seidl
Het zou een doordeweekse schooldag worden voor de vijftienjarige Miriam. Maar in de pauze hoort ze een schot. Eerst begrijpt niemand wat er gebeurt, dan slaat de paniek toe. Een leerling van de school is in het wilde weg om zich heen aan het schieten. Miriam houdt zich met haar vriendin Joanne schuil in de toiletten, tot ze haar vriendje Tobi zwaargewond ziet liggen. Ze wil hem helpen, maar de angst verlamt haar. En dan staat Miriam oog in oog met de dolle schutter …Een beklemmende roman voor Young Adults over verdriet en schuld na een schietpartij. De gevolgen voor het hoofdpersonage Miriam en de andere overlevenden zijn zwaar en verstrekkend. De auteur was zelf pas zestien toen ze dit overrompelende debuut schreef.
Dit boek wil ik natuurlijk graag lezen omdat het naar me toe gestuurd is door de uitgeverij Clavis, maar eerlijk is eerlijk, het boek leek mij al langer leuk. Het onderwerp is wel vrij heftig. De gevolgen van een schietpartij op een middelbare school.
Het is een heel ander soort genre als wat ik normaal lees, dus wie weet wordt het boek ook nog wel een uitdaging om te lezen!

Jennifer L Armentrout heeft één van mijn favoriete series ooit te schrijven, namelijk The Dark Elements. Ik heb veel gehoord over de Lux-serie, en dit waren alleen maar goede dingen. En het zijn gelijk de eerste twee delen gebundeld in één boek, wie wil ze dan niet hebben?

Dit boek staat al een hele tijd op mijn TBR-lijstje, en de cover is ontzettend mooi en zo is ook de binnenkant van het boek prachtig. De achterflap tekst sprak mij erg aan, en over dit boek heb ik ook goede dingen gehoord. Ik ben erg benieuwd, omdat er toch wel over dit boek “gehyped” wordt, en ik vaak geen fan ben van “hype” boeken.
Half Bad – Sally Green

Toen ik het boek kocht, kocht ik het om twee redenen. Ten eerste omdat ik een booktuber had gezien die er helemaal fan van was, ten tweede omdat dit de UK cover is, zowel de voor als achterkant zijn erg mooi en alleen op de voorkant is tekst geschreven.
Het gaat over heksen, een onderwerp wat je naar mijn idee niet vaak terug ziet komen in boeken, dus ben benieuwd!
DUFF – Kody Keplinger

De reden dat ik dit boek wil lezen? Omdat ik gehoord heb dat het vol zit met humor! En de titel (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) klinkt eigenlijk ook best wel grappig. En wat is er leuker als een grappig boek?

Ooit ben ik begonnen in het boek, maar ik ben daarna begonnen in een andere en heb er daarna nooit meer naar omgekeken. Dus tijd voor een nieuwe poging! Misschien dat ik nog wel bij ben met lezen voordat de volgende film van The Mazerunner-serie in de bioscoop draait!

Ik ben een echte zombie-fan. Dus dit boek riep me als het ware toen ik het zag staan in de boekenwinkel. De manier van schrijven in dit boek is ook heel anders, in een soort nieuwsbericht-achtige manier. Dus zowel het onderwerp als de lay-out spreken mij aan!

Dit boek heeft naar mijn idee ook een emotionele lading, een heel ander soort genre als dat ik gewend ben. Maar dit lijkt me echt een prachtig boek!
The unbecoming of Mara Dyer – Michelle Hodkin

Ook over dit boek heb ik gehoord dankzij een aantal booktubers. Echter ook omdat blijkbaar het derde deel de hele serie verpest zou hebben. Dit was voor mij toch wel de reden om hem even te laten liggen, omdat ik twijfelde of het dan wel zo’n goed idee zou zijn om te beginnen met de serie. Maargoed, ik ga toch gewoon beginnen en ik kan altijd later besluiten of ik verder wil gaan met het tweede en derde deel!

Dit boek wil ik lezen omdat het ook heel anders is als wat ik normaal lees én het is een ontzettende uitdaging is. Het is toch wel een dik boek, dus ook iets heel anders! Ik hoop toch wel dat ik dit boek dit jaar kan uitlezen, zeker omdat dit toch wel de grootste uitdaging van allemaal is!
