Very good story!

Really good story with interesting plot twists that made me want to keep reading, eventhough I was not a big fan of the footnotes writing style. To me it felt like it was distracting me quite a lot from the story itself, so be aware that a lot of details and historic knowledge is added in the form of footnotes! If you just want to read a story without the details, ignore the footnotes I would say. Also something that is good to know before you start reading: the story touches a lot on racism and inequality. I can agree with the fact that the story moves and reads slow, which sometimes made reading the book a bit of a challenge, but in the end it was worth it for sure!
