Rollercoaster in a good way!
Okay, so I found Lights Out on TikTok and honestly? The mixed reviews had me like, is it a masterpiece or emotional damage wrapped in smut?
Spoiler: it’s both.
From page one, this book grabbed me by the feelings and refused to let go.
I laughed, cracked up out loud, made me chuckle like a teenager again, I smiled at the cute moments, and… yeah, I blushed way more than I’d like to admit.
Navessa Allen’s writing? Raw. Real. Deliciously messy.
It’s not fake-perfect, it’s the kind that makes you feel like you just got emotionally hit by a truck… but, like, in a good way.
And that line :
“I’d rather have you care too much about me than too little.”
Excuse me?! Why would you personally attack me like that, Navessa? Exactly shows the rawness through the darkness.
The whole story is a chaotic blend of love, pain, and passion that somehow just works. It’s about love in all its messy, intense, human forms.
And that ending? Fulfilling, yes, with a capital F.
Like taking a deep breath after crying over fictional men for three hours.
4.5/5 from me.
If you’re into smut, softness, dark romance, and mild emotional destruction, congratulations, you’ve found your next read! Let it pull you in, break you open, make you melt.
