Feelgood at its finest!
“Rosie feels like there's something missing in her life. She loves her job as the manager of Willowdale Hall Riding Stables, caring for the horses and teaching children to ride, and she loves the home she shares with her mother in the beautiful Lake District. But she can't help wondering how her life might look if things had been different. What if her father had been around to help care for her mother? And what if she'd found someone special herself?”
After reading the first book in the ‘Escape to the Lakes’ series ‘The Start of Something Wonderful’, I couldn’t wait for this next one and ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ is nothing short of fantastic once again.
Usually, I’m not the biggest fan of time jumps/flash backs to the past, but Jessica Redland did a great job of it in this book and it actually helped really well in portraying Oliver and give more insights into Rosie’s life as well.
There were a few moments where I didn’t particularly liked how Rosy internally reacted to situations, but in the grand scheme of things, her being bullied for years and the situation with her Mam would have ‘made’ her feel this way.
This was my 11th book by Jessica Redland and (very unsurprisingly) loved it! The massive cliffhanger was a bit annoying, but I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
