Robin Hood is dead, slain at last by the Sheriff of Nottingham. The Merry Men have been cut down or scattered. Maid Marian and their son Basil are gone, presumed dead. But six-year-old Mary witnesses her father's death and swears vengeance. Protected by a religious order, she grows and plans.
