Attractive medical student, Catherine McGowin, survives a small plane crash in California's snow-covered mountains in the dead of winter. She worked her way down from the higher elevation suffering from amnesia and is sheltered by a mysterious mountain man and his grandson. She's puzzled over the strange attraction to the damaged ex-marine returning from war to hide himself away in the mountains.
