Well written story about a competitive world in which the girl (June) is longing for recognition and appreciation. For me the book is also about prejudice in the publishing industry and social media/ cancel culture.

“Reading let us live in someone else’s shoes. Literature builds bridges, it makes our world larger, not smaller.”

I had fun reading this book, but I was not overwhelmed with it.
