pageturner
Gordon Harris is founder and CEO of CytoSerum, a pharmaceutical company. They are currently working on a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. Not only splendid news for the people suffering from this disease but also for the company as it will bring in a lot of money. Unfortunately the competitors found out about the new developments and are determined to lay their hands on it. As Gordon refuses each of their bids, they start using violence. Two criminals and a contract killer are being hired. Kidnapping, extortion and murder attempts must persuade Gordon to sell. An unexpected event during one of these murder attempts brings us to part 2 of the book. The author takes us to Sierra Leone where we relive the past of the hitman.
The first chapter of a +300 pages book, which will keep you interested and curious from beginning till end, begins with a murder.
Each chapter contains a wide variation of characters and events so there is never one dull moment. The characters are described so vividly that you are automatically disgusted reading about the kidnappers but on the other hand at the end of part two feel sorry for the contract killer.
Even though the author has given a great deal of attention in explaining the necessary technical details it doesn’t take the tension out of the story.
One advice : start reading the book in a weekend or holiday so as not to miss a good night sleep
The book ends with ‘to be continued’ so I’m anxiously waiting for book 2 in the series
