'Why another book about coaching?

We consider coaching to be an increasingly important tool for managers, leaders, and professionals. The changes we outlined above are creating a need for people who, in day-to-day practices, are able to coach others.
However, most managers have no coaching training, but they do want to get started with it quickly and pragmatically. Our approach of coaching based on recipes can fill this need.
We in no way claim that this book covers all the ins and outs of the coaching trade, but we are confident that this book will allow people who are asked to take on a coaching role at their organisation to learn the basics of coaching in a relatively short time span.'
