In this fifth book about Special Detective Chau, the reader will see how Chau matures while there is a genuine threat to her life, to her family and friends and to almost everyone she had contact with during the previous investigations. Special Detective Chau gets tested up to unhuman levels. The chief constable in distress, and a dog which almost seems capable of thinking.
