Running an inn, reclaiming lost magic, and staying one step ahead of the watchful Guild is a lot for anyone, but Sera is about to discover that she doesn’t have to do it alone... and that the weird, wonderful family she’s made might be the best magic of all.
My opinion:
This book was everything I want from a cosy fantasy. It had all the right ingredients: warmth, heart, real stakes, and meaningful conflict. Unlike some cosy fantasies that drift into being a bit boring, this one kept me fully engaged and it even managed to make me cry at the end. Charming and emotional, I absolutely loved this book.
