My opinion:
The book had an interesting premise, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite work for me. I don’t even get its popularity and hype. The worldbuilding was overwhelming, and I had more than once problems connecting with the characters. I did like the relationship between Helena and Kaine, but most of the time, it felt off. Overall, it just didn’t capture my attention the way I hoped it would.
