My opinion: When I started this book, I had no idea it was about vampires. It was a fun discovery. VE Schwab knows how to write atmosphere, thrills and enchantment. I was pulled into the story by the diverse characters and their various life paths, yet they all share a common thread. Sometimes it felt a bit long – it is a big book – and I lost my interest, but there was always something that pulled me back in. This is a book you have to read al least just once in your life.
