The Art of Becoming - Charlotte Kluskens

Reading this book I had to leave my comfortzone because I'm not used to reading English YA novels. But I really enjoyed my first YA! The author takes you on the journey that Jack is about to make, together with his friends and classmates. He starts his first year at a prestigious school of arts knowing that this is the path his parents had choosen for him. While learning, studying and meeting new people Jack discovers what he is passionate about and learns to live his life the way he wants it. As a reader you are made curious about what will happen next because familysecrets come up to the surface and social relevant topics are used in the storyline. I'm really looking forward to Charlotte's next book and I really hope it will be a sequal on her debut because I have a feeling that the journey between Jack and us, readers, is not over yet!
