One for All

One For All has something unique: POTS rep! As I have POTS myself, I thought I’d start with this, as for me this is one of the best of the stories: to feel seen. Of course the rep was amazing as it’s ownvoices, but also the narrative surrounding disability was amazing and very recognizable. How Tania is constantly gaslighted and believes she’s worth less, to how people treat her. But above all: how she rises above all prejudice and becomes one of the musketeers, who value her for who she is, just as she values them. True friendship.

I love this feminist take on the Musketeers story with a secret female society guarding France. The girls are amazing and there is lots of diversity among them, but I loved mostly how they operates as a group: together they overcome their individual difficulties.

The plot is a bit generic at times, which I don’t really mind as for me it’s about the amazing characters and the POTS rep makes it unique. I loved all the (accurate! The author fences herself) sword fighting and action, and the plot twist was amazing, loved it!

I absolutely love this book and will keep recommending it to everyone.
