Lezersrecensie
Epic hero
Deze recensie is in het Engels omdat ik deze novelle las in het Engels.
This book for a change has nothing in it about a Greek, Roman, Norse or Egyptic God. But it is again about an epic hero, this time Ana. Of course she didn't have seen it coming, although she is going to a very special school, the Harding-Pencroft academy. But when Ana and her classmates are going on their first sea-trail something bad happens to their school, it is attacked by an enemy who wants the secrets which are bound to Ana her heritage.
She and her class have to save those secrets, but they are only half trained freshmen. But with help from dolphin Socrates and the very special submarine the nautilus maybe they will succeed. If they really do succeed you have to read the book for that.
I really liked that Ana and her group choose Gaelic as their secret language and that a few times the city of Leyden (Leiden) was mentioned. And of course having a strong and smart woman as a hero is pretty cool, next to her two best friends with their skills too. There were also some twists in the story I didn't see coming. I hope there will be more stories about Ana and her classmates, because I wouldn't mind reading about what is going to happen next.
