Relocated by his older brother to Mexico after the accidental death of their parents, young Andrés Segovia and his siblings struggle to reclaim a sense of identity as American-born Hispanics, an effort that results in Andrés's move back to the United States, a brush with the criminal world, and a friendship with a cancer patient.
