Fun whodunit
One house, nine guests and all are invited for a New Year's party with a murder mystery game. It is set in the 20s at Hamlet Hall and each guest has a role to play they don't know about yet.
But the evening barely begins or one of the guests is found dead and of course, exactly as the murder in the game. As the cover of the book says, to win the game you need to find the murderer!
But it looks like someone is playing his own game, and has his own rules.... add on all of this the history of the guests who come from a close-knit community filled with old rivalries going deeper than some know and you have more than the classic murder mystery game.
The story doesn't bring much new to this kind of story and doesn't have jaw dropping scenes. But it is in its simplicity told well, builds up nicely and does have several surprise revelations! And as an extra you get an unexpected page which made me smile. I am ready for another Tom Hindle story!
