Feeling nostalgic

After doing a marathon of all five (!!) Hunger Games movies last year, I was back in the mood to read the books again and it felt so nostalgic to return to this story. The way everything was described made it very easy to picture the arena and it felt like I was in the games alongside Katniss. I was really connected with Rue, she was really clever and kind and just like everyone I felt genuinely sad about her passing. Despite it took me a month to finish because life happened, I loved every moment. Now I’m ready to read the other ones for the first time (don’t spoil anything!) ✨
