Lezersrecensie
Book with unfulfilled promise
In all honesty, I skipped the last ~80 pages to grasp the ending.
When I picked up this book, I couldn't wait to read it since I've heard positive opinions about the Disney Twisted Tales. However, this was one of the worst books I've read so far. It's a YA book, but the dialogues are very childish and superficial with people shouting in
CAPS.
Next to that, I sometimes found myself confused at what actually happened in some scenes, since there were was little or to transition between each other (e.g. one moment the characters are in a cottage, the next they're in Maleficent's castle. Probably due to Aurora's ability to change her dream? But it's left for the reader to decide upon that)
This doesn't mean there weren't positive things about this story. I think the younger reader would enjoy this more than I did. And perhaps I had set my expectations too high.
Unfortunately, this book wasn't it for me.
