Before it all goes down in Riverdale

This prequel is an enjoyable addition to the Netflix series of Riverdale. Archie is busy working in the construction business for his dad and meeting up in secrecy with Mrs. Grundy. Jughead is trying to juggle his own life events while keeping an eye out for his father. Betty is thinking someone sabotages her internship in LA. And Veronica is enjoying her luxurious life while she still can, before her life implodes. The four of them will find themselves on the crossroads from where their lives will become entwined.

Since it's a prequel, there isn't much build up of tension. In my opinion, if this had been added, it could have made the book more interesting. However, you do get an insight in the daily lives of the main characters and you can see the beginning of the main character traits.
Overall, this book is a joyful and refreshing read that brings you slightly more profound knowledge of the leading characters.
