Deze recensie is in het Engels omdat ik het boek las in het Engels.
A book which not only uses a Dear Evan Hansen song as it's tittle, but also mentions the musical on it's first page and many times in the book, couldn't do much wrong in my eyes.
It is such a lovely book. I needed to put it away last night, because otherwise I would have read the last part of the book till way past my bedtime. It is so difficult to put away this book.
Arthur is living in New York for the summer, because his mother works there for a few months and brings her family with her. Arthur has a summer job at her law firm and during a break he meets Ben at the post office. They talk and connect together, but when there is a flash mob they get separated without exchanging numbers. They both think about the other and try to find each other.
Arthur remembers Ben his shirt and hangs up a message on the bulletin board of the coffeeshop mentioned at Ben his shirt. This brings them together. What follows is just adorable to read and I won't tell much more because I don't want to give to much spoilers.
I like how they discover each other and do over their fist date. I also
Iike how their friends are involved in this story, especially when it is Arthur his birthday.
Wonderful read.
