Voor fans van Twilight

In Demure by Hope E. Davis, Sierra meets the mysterious Aodhan while in college, and she can’t seem to get rid of him, but something does not add up.

I had no idea what I would be reading. It started a bit slow, but I was very curious. The writing style is easy and flowing and I loved the setting and world-building. Fae and Ireland, what more do you want in a book?
The trope enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and in this book Sierra and Aodhan are enemies at first. He is mysterious and brooding and she kind of hates him, but there is also an attraction. Sierra is smart and a likable and normal character and she got more confident as the story progresses. As she is a student, you can really understand her. The story-line reminded me a bit of Twilight. And the cliffhanger at the end makes me want to read to next book.

Reading Demure has surprised me, I enjoyed reading it and am very curious to see how the story unfolds in the sequel.
