Strong young adult thriller!

Wow, I think I have a new favourite author!!! Last year I won Dark and Twisted Souls and In het duister (In the dark), admitting that I did this purely because of the beautiful covers. Paranormal thrillers are a bit out of my comfort zone and even though I read young adult books, the mix of both wouldn't really have caught my attention.

But I am so glad I did participate and had the pleasure to read about Maeve who has been chronically depressed since she was seven years old, but lately she had been plagued by dark parts of her past, which she doesn't remember anything about. When her mother shows her one day (during an especially hard day for Maeve) a picture of a trip they made as a family and tried to forget about, Maeve realises that the flashbacks lead her to one of the most haunted places on earth, the RMS Queen Mary. She has to return to the root of her troubles, together with her best friends, to fight back against their ghostly enemies.
What the experiences on the ship and the people she meets will change her and her friends forever.

The cover and pages inside the book are a piece of art on its own. And if you also would now pick up young adult books or paranormal thrillers... don't make it stop reading this book. I devoured in less than two days and felt the tension in my body mixed with smiles while turning page after page!!
