Heat of the Cold - Pippa Storm
ARC read - Pippa Storm, W. Griffin Publishing.
--------------------------------------
Fleur takes a short trip with 2 of her colleagues to Winterberg after she has ended her abusive relationship with her ex Gabriel. She hopes to get escape and hopes to clear her mind, trying to forget the horrible situation she faces at home. Unfortunatly, peace and quiet won't last long as her past is coming to haunt her.
She has to leave for home immediately. Will she get away from her horrible situation and can she choose happiness? Is she that strong?
--------------------------------------
First off, I loved the writingstyle, the story just flows because of how easy Pippa wrote this. At first, when I started reading, I had some trouble getting in the story, but once I reached chapter 4, the story got tense and took me in.
The combination of emotions, tense situations and descriptive writing works really well, you can feel the emotions Fleur has in the story. I did quess the outcome pretty early on, but I didn't mind that at all.
It was a nice read, and I give it 3,5 stars (rounding up for goodreads)
