System Collapse: A Standard Murderbot Installment

I recently finished System Collapse, the latest book in the Murderbot Diaries series, and I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars. It was an okay read, but honestly, nothing really stuck with me this time around. It felt like a standard Murderbot adventure, but without the special moments or big revelations that make other books in the series shine.

As always, Kevin R. Free's narration for the audiobook was excellent. He consistently nails Murderbot's voice, sarcasm, and the unique personalities of all the characters. His performance is always a highlight, regardless of the plot.

While it didn't blow me away, it's still Murderbot, which means it has the usual dose of sarcastic internal monologues, observations about humans, and unexpected action. It's a quick and easy read, perfect for when you need a familiar fix of our favorite SecUnit.

If you're a devoted Murderbot fan, you'll likely pick this up to continue the story, but don't expect it to be a standout entry in the series. It's an average installment that keeps the narrative ticking over.
