The insurgent Mages hope to restore magic and balance to the Kingdom of Truenthe by removing the People’s King off the throne. Svea’s Death magic is the key to that plan’s success, but it has a will of its own, and now that Svea knows The Roper is still alive, she can either make him pay for Esben’s death with his own, or use him to get close to the King first.

Will Svea be able to restrain herself that long, or is it already too late since she no longer seems to be able to distinguish friend from foe, killing all who stand in her way?
