A cozy romance, with magic and mayhem
A story inspired by Snow White and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, gives a cozy standalone romantasy.
This was such a cute and cozy read. Perfect to be reading in the Fall season, with a cup of tea. However I would’ve enjoyed this book in every other season.
I loved all the characters, especially Lark and Talvie. But also the kids were adorable, from almost adult Mika, to little Eevie. Lark’s hedgehog was a perfect addition to the story and a sidekick to Lark. Jo Holloway’s writing style is perfect to give you that cozy feeling and seeing all the characters and the world of the Hinterlands come to life. There’s mayhem, cozy romance, magic and secrets in the story. All perfectly dosed.
The fake romance was perfect, it was fun, but not too far-fetched. As in if they simply had talked to each other then it would be okay. Which some books tend to fall back on, making the fake romance cringe. That is absolutely not the case with Midwinter Wiles and Valerian Dreams.
I couldn’t go fast enough through the book, I wanted to keep on reading and see how this fairytale with a twist would end. The end didn’t disappoint.
I’m definitely going to read more of Jo Holloway’s books and the other books in The Enchanted Woods Cottagecore Collection.
The book is book 10 in The Enchanted Woods Cottagecore Collection.
