A gripping story about Sam, taking place in the 1980's

The story is about Sam Ellings. We follow her while she tries to figure out her life in the 1980’s. She’s in search of happiness and we see her navigating friendships, family, her love life and her profession. Sam draws each day and preferably at a certain bus stop. She befriends a young boy named Rexel, this friendship is the backdrop of the story. It’s a story about anxiety and hope, about finding peace with your past and not losing faith in your future.

The story was gripping from the beginning till the end. It was easy to identify with Sam and her doubts. I loved reading this novel and getting a glimpse of Sam’s life, her feelings and her doubts. The characters are well written.
