A fast paced SF book with great characters

It’s the third book (Xiaxan Fox, Inkoded) that I’ve read by this author, and I loved it again. Despite being totally different from the other 2, I loved it again. I just love her writing style. It’s laid back, but with sass.

The world building is spot on, you get a good visual of each place they are, how it looks and feels. The main characters are well worked out, you get to know enough about each character why they do what they do. Their inner thoughts are clear enough.

The pace of the story is good, it’s fast paced, but not so fast that you don’t know what’s happening.
I loved the main characters; Selira, Diaz, Micky, Tieren, Five and NOX. The first 3 characters are also the pov’s, mainly Selira and Diaz. But you get to know a lot about Tieren, Five and NOX through them.

This is the second part in a series, however you can easily read it as a standalone. I did not read part 1 The Shikari and had absolutely no trouble following the story. However this second part has made me curious for the first part, so The Shikari is now on my TBR. I also hope there will be a part 3, because I want to know more about all the main characters and the different worlds.
