A Combination of YA Romance and Greek Mythology
This book is the conclusion to a trilogy, and I haven’t read the first two. I could still follow the story well. However sometimes I felt I was missing the investment in the characters that I would have had, had I read the first two books. This was mostly so with the character of Beth. That said, you can read this book as a stand-alone story.
The slow building romance between Mark and Bazrael is sweet and you can totally understand their inner thoughts and feelings. I was rooting for them the whole book through.
There are multiple pov’s in the book and this is a good way to tell the story. You get more of everyone’s feelings and what is happening and why.
I love the combination of high school romance/drama and Greek mythology. I’m definitely going to read the first and second part of this trilogy.
