Pleasantly surprised
My copy of Ruby and James' story is the Dutch translation of @monakasten 's 'Save Me', titled 'Maxton Hall College'. The cover of the dust jacket was so beautiful and the spray edges just so creative. The way Mona describes the sceneries are very aesthetically layed out in my imagination as I read on. A place where i would want to immerse myself the way Ruby does at Oxford.
Our female protagonist Ruby Bell was very well written. Her behaviour was more realistic and different than what we usually read in these kinds of storylines. The way she reacted to James' behavior isn't something you see often in this kind of story trope.
Very pleasant to read, from the very first page. The cliffhanger was unexpected. I turned the page, expecting another chapter. Instead, it was the end! It left me wanting for more!
I can't wait to see if (and when) the remaining two books will be translated in Dutch. And will they have a beautiful cover aswell? We shall see!
