Dark fantasy academy

This book has everything I love, magic, an academy, mystery, and fated mates.

It's written in dual POV and it follows Nick and Harper, both lost their parents in a fire.
Nick has always suspected there was foul play, and comes back to the academy to teach and investigate the fire and the people who might have been involved.
After the fire when Harper was still young, she moved with her uncle to the 'unenchanted', also known as earth. However, she still decides to attend the magical academy in the 'realm' to learn how to use her magic.

Nick teaches a class, and from the first moment he meets Harper he knows they belong together. However Harper is still unaware and enjoys college life. While navigating a new world, new powers, new friends, and enemies she always knew the fire was a set-up.

Will they discover who is behind the fire? Will they get caught using illegal magic? Can they find a way to figure out their feelings?

This book is a duology and ends on a huge cliffhanger, the second book is not out yet, but I can't wait to continue this story!
