I struggled a bit getting into the book. There is a lot of world building and many character you need to get to know. This whole book is a wild rollercoaster ride, and the craziness starts fast and doesn't stop!

We follow Rae, who at first seems to be a very normal human girl, however she is more than meets the eye! Slowly during the book we learn more and more, she has magic, can change her appearance and has some dangerous enemies.

Next we follow Aidan - a bastard vampire - who lost his magic many years ago. He has been searching for it ever since, never really "living". However, he is obviously also keeping secrets from everyone.

When they meet they strike a deal and Rae becomes his Odilik (vampire wife). They have undeniably chemistry. Will they eventually give in? Will Aidan find his magic back? Will Rae be able to protect and save everyone?
