What a cute little novella by Maeve Hazel. I love sports romances and this was my first soccer / European football one!

Offside rule follows Xavier a Spanish football player and Arianna an Italian referee. They randomly meet at a bar the evening before a match where Xavier is playing and Arianna will be the referee. Xavier doesn’t know she is one! So at the bar they are watching another football match and Xavier says it’s offside and Arianna says it’s not. So he was thinking what does this girl know about football, but she ends up knowing all of it!

He falls head over heels for her and asks her out for a date. Arianna is more hesitant because a relationship between a referee and player is not allowed. Also she has a daughter and they live in different countries.

Will Xavier convince Arianna to go out together? Will they play it safe or take on this challenge? Not only in their personal, but also in their professional lives?
