Comepletely Fine (but rather incomplete though)
Wow, and again here is a book with raving or ranting reviews. And again, I find myself somewhere inbetween. Just like the title says, this book is Completely Fine. Fine, but not exceptional.
While reading, you will laugh and you will probably shed a tear or two about Eleanor Oliphant's coping mechanisms. Her transformation from merely surviving to actually dealing with the sh*** life has thrown at her, is impressive. But for me, this tale is not complete. The supporting characters are just that: supporting. You don't see where they come from and how they evolve. And, to be frank, I find it hard to believe that absolutely everyone she interacts with is friendly and supportive.
But hey, bonus points for not making it about romantic love though! So a fine and moving, but rather incomplete story.
