Lezersrecensie
Relevant and bloody
I've finished my ARC copy of 'Roll for Initiative' a extreme horror (18+) story written by author Lesley Camphouse.
"It is surreal, but I refuse to surrender to these Bastards."
Roll for Initiative is a short story, a novel and I enjoyed reading it. The concept is good and it could have been a full length story, but it's also quite complete as it its.
"Sometimes I hate my fucking life."
The story is about Gemma. She has moved to another city and with some help she was able to join a game group that came one person short. Now she has a weekly game night with Bernard, Milton, Stanley and David. Its all fun, until its not.
"You're a feisty little thing, aren't you?"
This story has some themes that keep on being important and relevant. Like how men thread woman and the importance that a woman can feel safe. This story is mainly the opposite and bloody.
"All of this was their fault, not mine. Theirs."
I kinda enjoyed reading this story and I give it four stars.
