Loved book 1, didn’t like book 2, want to read book 3

I honestly feel bad giving this 2.5 stars because I don’t give low ratings easily , but this book just didn’t work for me.

I really enjoyed the first book and I was excited to read Maddie and Grayson’s story, but I didn’t like it. There wasn’t much of a plot for the majority of the book (though I will say the ending was a little bit better). This book felt rushed and kind of cringe at times without any depth. I don’t know what it was exactly, but I just didn’t enjoy it the way I hoped I would.

I’m not giving up on the series. I’ll still give the other books a chance someday, but just not right now.
