Christmas fun

The book gave me a constant cheerful feeling, it is sweet and fun. The three friends, Chloe, Lucy and Jules, met when they were 11 years old while vacationing on Maui with their families. It turned out they all had their birthday in May so they called themselves the May ladies.

This book is set 22 years after that meeting, and during the summer Chloe complains that her parents are going on a Christmas cruise and that now she doesn't feel like Christmas at all and would like to experience a traditional English Christmas. Lucy, in turn, would like to experience a real winter Christmas in Boulder USA where Jules lives, while Jules really wants a Christmas without her family in summer Australia. So the ladies swap houses and each time you read a chapter from the point of view of one of the ladies. As said it is a sweet, fun and cozy story.

There are some typical English, Australian and American English expressions in the book which makes it very fun, if you like English feel-good, read this book!
