Lezersrecensie
An intense but wonderful ride
This book was INTENSE! But I loved it.
I am so astonished at how Picoult managed to weave extremely difficult and (at first glance) very non-relatable topics together. Yes, it's a difficult book. And perhaps, if I did not already have a huge interest in Egyptology ánd Physics, it would have been too detailed for my liking. But I do love both of those themes, and to see them being linked was remarkable.
There was a point when I struggled a bit with the book. I started to reeeaaally dislike the main character, and, in all honesty, I felt the book could have been a bit shorter because it started to drag a bit midway. But the ending made up for it!
--> 4.5 stars, but definitely rounding it off to 5 because I am so IMPRESSED at how Picoult linked all these different themes so seamlessly together.
