Beautiful
I liked Love Unwritten so much more than the first book. The bond between Ellie and Nico, both with and without Rafael, made this story truly heartwarming. Ellie’s music journey is beautifully integrated into the story, and the vacation in Hawaii made it even more enjoyable.
Lauren Asher also handles heavy topics in a respectful way, which adds real depth to the story. Both characters go through clear personal growth, and it was beautiful to watch them grow.
The slow burn, combined with the single dad and nanny tropes, are some of my absolute favorites and they were done so well here. Plus, the funny moments with Nico add a nice touch of lightness between the emotional parts.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because it felt a bit long at times. Some parts included details that weren’t really necessary, which made it feel a little dragged out. Aside from that, this is exactly the kind of romance I love.
