Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

Catherine Danielle Clark aka Kya & by town People known as The Marsh Girl is abandoned by her dysfunctional family at an early age of six. The setting is in North Carolina marshlands in a run-down shack. She is an adventurous but mysterious person; esprcially towards the Town People. She faces trauma's from abandonment, Neglect, Abuse amongst others. Growing up in the 1950's & 60's she's on her own from age six ; finding her way throught life (the Marsh). She is allegedly accused of murder of a high school superstar quaterback Andrews Chase (she was once involved with). Throughout her life she has been hiding, running & evading people due to everyone breating & being prejudice towards her. The Towns people due to everyone berating & being prejudice towards her. The Towns People Calling her Marsh Girl. So to alleviate all the name calling she gets she avoids being seen but longs to be seen by someone special.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Very well written & loved how Delia Owens was thoroughly detailed with the scenery; was definitely easy to picture the book while reading.
