Enemies to lovers

In Savage Seas by Monica Booth, Eleanor, on her way to her love, gets stranded on an island with a pirate when their ship is attacked by pirates. They have to work together to survive.

This was such a joy to read. It’s a YA pirate fantasy story and I was hooked from the very beginning. You get thrown into the action right away and the writing is such that I could see it all before my eyes. There is also some humor involved and that was great. Eleanor and pirate Julien are very different, but have to rely on each other. Their interaction is great, and they have a great chemistry.

Savage Seas is a lovely cozy YA pirate novel, with a flowing writing style, in a great setting (with pirates!), action, drama, romance, humor and a some magic, a book I enjoyed reading and a book I can recommend to all readers who want to read a lovely and enjoyable fantasy story, with great characters.
