Sweet becomes sour

Very very very very sweet feel good story about a perfect boy/man and his very very very wise almost talking cat, who on their journey meet all kind of people with their bad bad bad flaws about which they feel so very very very sorry. The sweet became sour to me especially because of the childish tone in which this is delivered. Off-course the ending is very very very foreseeable and tear pulling.

Really can’t see why this sold over a million copies, but that must be me missing the point.
