Mixed feelings
I come across this book through my son. I tend to read their books from school, so in no time you can read this book, intended for a 12y child.
The first part of the book was rather slow, but that's just me, I wanted more "action", but this was coming in the second part of the book... and then I even let a tear escape. :-)
After reading the book, I even took the time to read the history of that time and try to find more about the rough life of the children; it broke my heart.
(SPOILER): love happy endings. ❤
