An Impressive and strong story
I was one of the proof readers of 'Empire of sand and lost souls' written by Ella mina. This is the first book in a series.
"She struggled to have him; I won't struggle to kill him."
This book is an really easy read, I finished it quite fast, because it reads really comfortable. Its also written quite poetic, which I think really fits the story. This story is unique and the background story is really intruiging. It took me like 38 chapters to get an idea of were the story was going and I like that. You definitely will be surprised and shocked, cause there is a mayor cliffhanger!!
"The pain of her past still choked her heart, whispering reminders of betrayel and lost."
This story is exciting, thrilling, sad and sooo much more.
There are multiple POV's in this story and you will see certain situations out of their perspectives. The (main) characters you will follow throughout the story are Mustafa, Talyah, Deenah and Siya. Or maybe not?
"Years of filthy -- dirt, excitement, dust -- had melded into a breeding ground for horrors seen and unseen."
This story caries a lot of themes and some of the main themes are religion, grief, loss, trauma, fear, anger and strength. These themes are unraveled in an amazing way and you will truly get sucked in the story, feel with the characters and see the story unravel in your head. I truly loved this story and I cant wait until I can read the second one. I give it four stars!
