The FMC annoyed me

Sorry but Lina was too annoying for me. And not because of the fact that she supposedly talks too much and has weird thoughts or no filter, nono. Her inner dialogues about Aaron and her doubts were just.. bleh. I might have skipped a few of those to prevent me from putting the book down.

Also what was that first chapter? An entire chapter of him convincing her to choose him and her trying to outsmart and/or ignore him? I almost DNF'ed right then and there, to be honest.

But negative feels aside, I'm not a complete hater. I actually wanted to finish it once they were in Spain and the "Spanish love deception" was in full swing. There were very cute bits and pieces throughout the book and a few good quips that made me smile. Abuela has my heart and I wished she would have been a more prominent figure; she has the real quirky MC personality vibe.

I usually thoroughly enjoy cheesy chicklit and I liked the Hating Game (anyone else felt like this was Hating Game 2.0?), but this didn't really do it for me.
