Captivating

How is it that I am married to the blondest man I have ever seen, yet I never trust a blond man in a book?? I don't even give them a chance, it's instant distrust for me (Tamlin, I blame you). So Sebastian was super sus for me. I did warm to him and I was rooting for them but my allegiance switched in a heartbeat when a strong, dark, tattooed shadowboy arrived (Azriel, I blame you).

Love interests aside (because honestly, that's not what this book is truly about), this was a very captivating story. I felt Brie's pain in the betrayal and my heart physically hurt when she was contemplating some of the choices she had to make. You just knew someone was going to get hurt in the end and Lark's predictions just made it all the more ominous in a way that I had to keep on reading.

The ending really had me yelling at the book and I'm starting These Twisted Bonds right now.
