Wat een fantastisch goed boek!

A Bargain so Bloody by Vasilia Drake is by far one of the best fantasy books I have read. I was completely hooked the moment I started reading this book. It is the story of Samara, who is sitting out a sentence in a dark prison for a crime she did not commit. She tries to be unnoticed, but bullies are everywhere. When she is sent to treat a new prisoner for his wounds and also finds out no one wants to let her go free, she helps Raphael escape, for as he is a vampire, he is her only chance to escape. But Raphael has his own agenda….

As I said, this book is so good, I had a really hard time putting the book down. The writing style is fast paced and flowing and so much happens, you just cannot stop reading.

Samara is a great character, she is fierce, determined. Raphael is the morally grey character, and you just know there is something more to what he seems. Their interactions and chemistry are off the charts! As the story progresses, we find out who Raphael really is and that came as a great surprise. When they strike a bargain, both have no idea who Samara really is and that was just a really cool asset to an already fantastic story-line.

The book is filled with danger, cool magic, and the world-building is amazing. And the ending makes me want to read the next book now! I know that when the sequel is available, I will run to start reading it, as the cliffhanger is a huge one, with revelations all around.

If you want to read a superb fantasy novel, with a great plot and story-line, great world-building, many twists and turns, and with two main characters who just leap off the pages, you just have to read this book. Five stars really is not enough.
