Lezersrecensie
Utterly devastating and insanely beautiful
4,5 stars! I loved this book! Not just a love story, amazing friendships and utterly devastating grief.
What I loved about this book was the way it started, the pure anger Juliet felt when the unknown person (Declan) wrote on her personal letter to her deceased mom. The way they started talking to each other through the notes, the shimmering, hidden hope that there would be a new letter. And then they started e-mailing. I loved how they were so honest to each other, telling their own pieces of their truth, even though they had no idea who the other was. They just had to let the grief out.
Also, this story is not focused on a love interest. It is about coping, sadness, sorrow, hope, friendships and finding yourself in all the broken pieces. I really liked that. It makes it realistic, its identifiable. Great writing, short chapters and the feels are real. And the characters were so great. I loved Juliet, Declan, Rowan and Rev! Can’t wait to start reading More Than We Can Tell to read about Rev!
The two things I had some trouble with was the beginning of the book in the sense that at first I found it confusing to guess who I was reading from. Juliet or Declan? But after a while I picked it up! Also, the last chapter needed a bit more for my taste. But other than that: recommend!!!
